Building Reports: Overview

After you have connected to your ad accounts and generated source reports, you will be able to build reports directly on our platform. There are currently two types of reports:

  • Derived reports - A derived report has a single data source. This report commonly filters and/or aggregates existing data from the data source into a new report for further usage.
  • Blended reports - A blended report has at least two data sources. These data sources can be derived reports, spreadsheets, platform reports, and more. This report commonly unifies data based on a common field (“connector”).

    Note: For any X number of reports in the blend, there will be X-1 connectors to be identified in the configuration. If there are 3 reports to be blended together, there will need to be 2 data connectors.

There are several available blend types according to the identified connector.

  • Join - Union of both data sources
  • Full Join - All entries from both data sources. If there are multiple entries of the connector, the blended report will only display the entry once (unique entries only).
  • Full Join without reindexing - All entries from both data sources. If there are multiple entries of the connector, the blended report will show all the entries from both sources.
  • Full Left Join - All entries from both data sources with a precedence for the left (first) report.
  • Left - The entries from the left (first) report will take precedence in the blend.
  • Right  - The entries from the right (second) report will take precedence in the blend

Depending on the blend type selected in the previous section, ensure you define a merge pair to connect the data sources being joined. In this case, you would do the following;

  • Select the column header from the 1st report to be joined from the drop down menu (ex: First User UUID)
  • Select the column header from the 2nd report to be joined from the 2nd drop down menu (ex: first user id)
  • In the text box field, enter the new name of the connector column (ex: Final User UUID)

In the last step of the blended report, you will need to select the new name of the connector column in the columns mapping. Note that while that may be the selection,
