Add or Remove Tags

Tags are arbitrary labels you can assign to reports, charts, and dashboards for ease of reference. There are currently two types of tags on our platform:

  • Regular tags - The label you assign will only apply to the report, chart, or dashboard you’ve selected
  • Deep tags - The label you assign will apply to all underlying entities of the selected item. For example, if you add a label called “Source of Truth” to a blended report, all the underlying platform reports, spreadsheets, etc. will also automatically have this label now as well

Add a tag:

To add a tag to a report, chart, or dashboard follow these steps:

  1. Search for the specific item you’d like to add a tag to in the list view
  2. Click the checkbox to the left of the item. This should highlight the entire row yellow
  3. Then click on the “Actions” button to the right of the search bar above the table
  4. On the drop down menu that appears, click on “Add new tags”

  5. The “New Tag” screen should now appear. In the textbox, enter the tag you’d like to add to the item and click “Tab” to confirm that text.

    • If you’d like to add more than one tag, add the other tag text and click “Tab”. Repeat as needed.
    • If you’d like to add this tag as a deep tag, check the “Deep tagging” box below the textbox after you’ve entered your tag(s)
  6. Click the purple “Save” button to implement your changes. You will now see the tags in the “Tags” column.

Remove a tag:

To remove a tag from a report, chart, or dashboard follow these steps:
