Scheduled Reports from Google Ads

Generate an ad platform report from Google Ads

You can generate the following types of platform report from Google Ads once you've connected that platform to your Sona platform account: 

  • Account
  • Campaign
  • Adgroup
  • Keyword
  • Ad
  • Click

The default platform report will be a recurring, automatically updating report unless you check mark "one time" in the New Platform Report screen. Follow the steps below to generate a new platform report from Google Ads:

To generate a platform report from Google Ads:

    Starting from the left sidebar, click on Media Platforms -> Actions -> New Platform Report

    In the next screen, enter values for the following:
  • Report name
  • Backfill date - the starting point date for the data 
  • One time report - check mark if this is a one-time-report and then you will be required to select end date of this report
  • Sync time - defaulted to current time
  • Platform - select "Google Ads" from the drop-down
  • Report type - select the report type
  • Ad account - select the ad account
  • Campaigns - if relevant to the report type, select the specific campaigns or all campaigns 
  • Ad groups - if relevant to the report type, select the specific campaigns or all ad groups 
  • Keywords - if relevant to the report type, select the specific campaigns or all keywords

    Click "Update" to generate and save the platform report.
    Note: To locate the generated report, go back to "Media Platforms" from the sidebar. Enter the report name in the search box and click report to view results.

Edit a scheduled platform report from Google Ads

    Starting from the left sidebar, click on Media Platforms.

    In the search box, enter the scheduled platform report you want to cancel (or delete).

    Check mark the box to the left of that report name and click on "Actions".

    Select "Edit selected" from the drop down menu.

    In the "Edit Platform Report" screen that appears, modify the relevant fields.

    Click "Save" to save the changes. The report will automatically start regenerating.

Cancel a scheduled platform report from Google Ads

    Starting from the left sidebar, click on Media Platforms.

    In the search box, enter the scheduled platform report you want to cancel (or delete).

    Check mark the box to the left of that report name and click on "Actions".

    Select "Remove selected" from the drop down menu.

    Click "Save" to proceed with removing that scheduled platform report.
